Holly Denecour
Holly has been playing ultimate on teams from the Midwest to Colorado to Texas for 20 years, including Wisconsin Bella Donna, Colorado Rare Air, Madison Jazz, Texas Showdown, Minneapolis Pop, and Minneapolis Drag'n Thrust. She has made 5 appearances in semifinals at USAU Championships and won a Gold and Silver medal at the Women's Masters Division Championships. She has coached at the high school, YCC and college level, including Wisconsin Bella Donna, University of Texas State Trainwreck and the Great River Stars. Holly teaches middle school in a Dual Language program in Minneapolis Public Schools. She lives in St. Paul with her husband, 3 year old son, dog and cat.
Courtney Kiesow
Courtney is a Callahan Award winner ('08) whose playing experience includes a USAU National Championships with Boston Brute Squad ('16) and Beach Worlds Gold with USA Women's Masters ('17). She has also played with Wisconsin Bella Donna, Chicago Nemesis, Madison Heist, and Minneapolis Pop. Courtney has been coaching college and club since 2009, and this is her fifth season as co-coach for Carleton Syzygy. She previously coached Minneapolis Pop, Northeastern Valkyries, and Wisconsin Bella Donna, and was named an assistant coach for the 2021 U24 women's national team. Courtney was also awarded the North Central College Women's Coach of the Year award in 2018.
Carlos Lopez
Carlos has been playing Ultimate since 2007 and started his coaching career in 2011. He has played and coached at the high school, YCC, and D-1 College levels, making nationals in those divisions as both a player and a coach. He was named the 2019 MN High School Coach of the Year, the 2019 Ultiworld College Coach of the Year Runner Up, and the 2022 Mixed Coach of the Year Runner Up. He is currently coaching Drag'n Thrust in the Mixed Club Division and was recently a Selection Assistant for the U24 Team USA Mixed team. When he isn't working as a mechanical engineer or thinking about Ultimate, you can find him at a dog park with his dog, Yogi.
