On March 12, Strike Owner Anna Hagstrom posted the following note to our community discussing the suspension of the 2020 PUL Season given the unprecedented situation. Since this publication, we’ve learned more about the severity of the situation, and feel that it is unlikely that any games will take place this season. Our first priority remains the health of our players and community, and doing our part to “flatten the curve.”
The effects of COVID-19 itself as well as the measures needed to maintain safety are widespread, and will be have lasting impact on all of us. We are extremely grateful to healthcare workers and those in our community working to help keep others safe and continuing to provide basic needs. We hope that you and your families are safe and healthy. We look forward to taking the field again when it becomes safe to do so.
In the meantime, we still have much to do. We continue to be hard at work planning home games, fundraising, working on strategy, and much more. We’re also working on ways to stay connected when we can’t be together in person. Stay tuned for those opportunities.
We need our fans and community more than ever during this uncertain time. Thank you so much for supporting the Strike.
